What You Should Know:
Recently awarded the prestigious top position on the list of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants, Daniel Humm’s Eleven Madison Park creates food that is originally simple and undeniably delicious. The high ceilinged dining room allows for spaced out tables and the ultra warm service might make you feel that you are a guest in their home.
What I Liked:
A single asparagus stalk that braised in a pig’s bladder tableside is paired with a rich black truffle sauce that is enough to even make asparagus feel decadent.
Foie gras is molded and filled with maple syrup, and served with a soft, apple roll.
Soft crab is wrapped in avocado and served with a zesty yogurt sauce.
Is It Worth It:
$295 per person, even without service, is a lot. The bar offers a shortened, cheaper tasting menu option for a slight compromise on the formality of the experience.
